About the programme

The Cardiovascular Research Graduate Programme consists of PhD students and supervisors within basic science, clinical and epidemiological cardiovascular research.

The aim of the programme is to increase the quality of the PhD education and to facilitate the interaction between PhD students. The programme offers a variety of PhD courses with both clinical and basic science perspectives. Specifically, each year the program hosts the Cardiovascular Winter School; a two-day course that includes a workshop day on communication skills and a seminar day filled with plenary talks by fellow students and prominent researchers in the field of cardiovascular research. As a PhD student in the Cardiovascular Research Program it is mandatory to attend 2 out of 3 Winter Schools during the course of your PhD study.
